Tips and Tricks

If you want to import a file that you have not finished recording to, you can try this, but at your own risk of losing your recording. Make a copy of the file you're recording to first, then import the copy into Udicus.

If you know that a file is of a compatible format, you can change the extension of the file by renaming it to match the extension of the file type, so that you can load it into Udicus properly. For example, there is no preset extension for Clocklab files, but Udicus expects ClockLab files to have *.clb extensions.

Always try to minimize the number of times you translate a single data channel. While there is no loss of signal precision translating any type of channel into the UDCS format, you will lose considerable precision importing into Somnologica (this is due to how Somnologica organizes its data files). The best thing is to always keep a copy of your original recording, and then translate from that file as needed, OR translate everything to UDCS (this will save storage space most of the time anyway) and then translate from that UDCS file into anything you wish.
